Since 1992 SolarOasis has designed many OEM applications that use LEDs. The Aqua-Bar is the first LED grow light developed for use with aquaria.
Based on SolarOasis patented LED grow light technology, the Aqua-Bar supports the growth and development of all photosynthesizing aquatic organisms (plants, algae, corals, and bacteria) commonly found in both the fresh and saltwater aquarium. Cool operation prevents unwanted heating of aquariums.
The Aqua-Bar line offers many features of interest to the serious aquaculturist:
- Low voltage design for safer operation.
- Low heat, barely warm to the touch, reduces unwanted heating of aquariums.
- Saves energy, uses about the same energy as a standard night light bulb.
- Broad spectrum output enhances growth and development of all photosynthesizing organisms commonly found in fresh and saltwater aquaria.
- Low light pollution minimizes interference with aquarium ‘view lighting’.
- Can be mounted in any orientation to light an aquarium from the top, sides, or even the bottom.
- The Aqua-Bar offers two means of mounting,
- Mounts to any overhead flat surface, such as inside a wooden hood, using two screws
- Mounts directly to the surface of a glass or plastic aquarium using the included suction cups.
