Conventional grow lights consume between 100 watts and 1,000 watts of electricity to operate. SolarOasis grow lights use less electricity than a small reading light. Longer Bulb Life
SolarOasis products, based on component manufacturer data, have an expected life of up to 595 weeks of continuous 24/7 operation. This is 15-50 times longer than typical glass bulb grow light life expectations. Replacing traditional glass bulbs every 6-15 months adds a lot to the expense of a growing system.
No Ballast
Fluorescent tubes and metallic vapor lamps all need a ballast to operate, and ballasts eventually burn out and must be replaced. SolarOasis lighting products do not use a ballast, eliminating this additional recurring cost from your growing system.
No Reflector

Safe Low Voltage at the Light
SolarOasis lights use safe low voltage DC power at the light, similar to battery operated devices you currently own. Traditional grow lights operate on 120-240 VAC at the bulb, not a perfect match for an often wet growing environment.
